Cheeky
I just bought some pajamas that are super cute. The pants are lime green & the shirt is bright PINK and they have monkeys all over them saying "cheeky monkey".
Herein lies the object of my problem. I, had to call my 12 year old sister to ask her if the term "cheeky" has some kind of perverted connotation. I would hate to walk around thinking I'm looking like a sweet little girl who loves pink, only to discover that the rest of the world has been seeing me as Miss Bad Girl. My sister answered with a laugh and a "no".
But I still had to look up the term "cheeky" on dictionary.com. Here were my findings:
cheek·y (adj): Impertinently bold; impudent and saucy.
